I am located in the heart of the Houston Museum District which is rich with out-of-the-way nooks and crannies, all the way up to large bustling areas full of great spots for photos. If you're looking for a beautiful landscape or architectural backdrop for your next family photoshoot, a gritty backdrop that's perfect for High School senior photos, a serene location for a maternity session, or a colorful and fun site for a children's photoshoot, I have you covered! Or if you're needing a quiet, soft, and relaxing newborn photoshoot, there is no better place than in the comfort of your own home. Feel free to mix and match to create your perfect look. The possibilities are endless!
How it Works
Step 01
Let's chat
We will discuss session location options, date/time, overall style and feel of the photos, who will be photographed, wardrobe, and how you would like your photos delivered. Choose printed or digital download or a combination of both. Custom framing is also available.
Step 02
Day of the session
I always say that the best photo sessions are the ones that are the most relaxed. Prepare and plan ahead so that our time together is spent connecting, laughing and capturing memories to cherish for generations. Take a dry run to the session site. Leave early since Houston traffic is so unpredictable. Bring back up clothes just in case there is a wardrobe malfunction.
Step 03
Editing your photos
Digital downloads take 2-3 weeks to prepare. Typical editing includes adjustments to color, brightness & contrast. More detailed editing is available for an additional fee.
Step 04
Choosing memories to treasure
Fine art custom printing is available on many types of media substrate in sizes ranging from 4x6 to 30x40. An interactive Zoom session can be scheduled. During the appointment we will discuss size, cropping and media options.

What time of day is best for outdoor photos?Typically, the session should begin 1 hour before sunrise or 1 hour before sunset. Based on the exact outdoor location, start time may need to be adjusted slightly.

What time of day is best for photos of children?The session should be scheduled for a time of day that your child is the most agreeable. Remember, booking a session time that is convenient to your work schedule is not always the best time for your child.

How long is a session?Sessions are roughly 1 hour in length.

What should I wear?Select wardrobe that you feel confident when wearing. Also, choose outfits that are appropriate to the photo site, and suitable for the vibe you're going for in the photos. For example, if you are wanting a relaxed, candid, lifestyle session, wearing clothing that is overly formal, restrictive or form-fitting will produce a more formal portrait. A well thought out, coordinated and casual wardrobe choice blends well with a candid lifestyle session.

How do I pick an outdoor location for my photos?Most clients prefer that I pick a location that is inspiring to me at the moment. We can chat about it and I can text you sample photos. Or, you can suggest a site and I can scout it out.

What if my child is not happy once the session begins?Sometimes this happens and it's ok! I will continue on with the session for about 20 minutes. If I feel I'm not getting enough shots, we can schedule for another day and finish up.

How do I decide on a date for a maternity session?Your baby bump should be nice and round for the photo session. Typically sometime around your 34-36th week works nicely.

When is the best time for a newborn session?The newborn look is fleeting and a session within the first 7-10 days is ideal, but it can be all the way up to 2 months. It depend on how you would like your baby to look in the photos and how you are feeling overall.

Will I get a digital download or prints?Most packages are geared towards a digital download, and printed media can be ordered on top of that. Or, if you don't have need for a set of digitals, we can come up with a custom package.

How long is production time?The timeline to receive the digital download is roughly 2-3 weeks. During the holiday rush the timeline might be a little longer. Printed media will require extra time on top of the 2-3 weeks.

What forms of payment do you take?Payments can be made via credit card, cash or Zelle.

Do you have a payment plan?There is a booking deposit and the balance on the package price is due day of the photo session.
