About

A little bit about me. As a passionate photographer I believe that photography is all about capturing the essence of people and their stories. Whether directing a traditional photoshoot, or simply capturing the unscripted, raw moments of a lifestyle session, my goal is capturing those beautiful moments in time that will be cherished for generations.

My Story

A celebration of life through photography.

27 years and counting!

My story starts back when I was 12 years old. My parents bought a 35mm camera and I just had to learn all about it. I took my first photography class in high school and learned to develop black & white film and prints in the darkroom. A few friends asked me to take their high school senior photos, which were used in our yearbook. That year I also won 1st prize for a documentary street photo that I created at a cultural event downtown!

I earned my BFA from the University of Houston, and then fast forward to 1997 and that's when I opened my photography studio. I specialized in black & white wedding photography with a photojournalistic approach. I loved being a fly-on-the-wall and capturing unscripted and artistic moments. Today, I am still photographing some of those same wedding clients, following along in their lives and sharing in their milestones. A maternity photoshoot, then a newborn photography session with family photos mixed in. Followed then by photos at all ages of childhood, all the way to high school senior photos. It's a full circle! I feel truly blessed sharing in life's delightful journey with so many beloved clients.
